New to site and to brewing. Finished a Woodfordes Wherry and left it for around a month and I must say its great. Thanks HBO for the intro to brewing and the great kit
My second Simply Ginger beer pack has arrived from you today with one or two other items, Shall start brewing it as soon as I start on my already bottled Ginger beer in a couple of weeks or so............
You are very quick with delivery and we appreciate that very much!

I am a Ginger Beer fan (the alcoholic type) and hubby Bitter Beer. Pleased to meet you! There is lots of information available here if you have any problems and we like to hear what other members are brewing!
as you can see from my post im trying everything and anything lol from jail recipes using bread yeast to lagers and vodkas its all part of the fun the bug has bitten hard and so far touch wood not thrown anything out as undrinkable
Well done Dave! We experimented with my Simply Ginger beer kits and found that Beer kit Enhancer really transformed it and gave it a less sweet taste but with a warm bite of Ginger at the back of the throat!
I was going to try ginger beer using fresh ginger and like a alcohol soda pop sugar yeast water and see how that came out but haven't tried yet at the moment every thing is full with brews except the bath but it might come to that yet lol
well my jailhouse recipe was a bit hit and miss it ended up 3% so I added vanilla carbonated in bottles and as turned out into a delicious alcoholic cream soda I have another 20 litres of toffee apple cider and 40 litres of spirit wash on the go and another 20 pints coopers lager so could be a merry Christmas happy brewing everyone
Hi all, absolute beginner to brewing but excited to give it a red hot go and start sampling some delicious home made beer! Looking forward to gleaning some valuable information, hints and tips from fellow brewers. Slàinte
As a complete novice I am thinking about a Coopers Lager kit and a stout, 6 Nations coming up so determined to have a few beers for the final. Think its probably wise to start simple and then develop things as I progress. Any suggestions more than welcome. What have you got on the go just now?
Hi all. I' m Dave and live in York. Have just been diagnosed Coeliac and struggling to find decent beer at a reasonable price.... so have just ordered a complete starter kit along with a Gone With The Wheat brew pack. Have never done any home brewing before so am hoping it's as easy as everyone says. Does anyone know if there is a local club here in York. I'd love to be able to meet fellow brewers and pick up some insider info and tips. My email is leysdave@btinternet.com. Thanks
The Gone With The Wheat are getting more popular, we're often told they take a while to ferment and longer than usual to condition, if you leave it for a while to carbonate the flavours will fully develop. One club you might consider is based at York Brewery and is here on this link: http://yorkbreweryhomebrewclub.tumblr.com/
Hi again and thanks for the response . The next York Brewery Homebrew Club meeting is on the 25/3 according to their website. Hopefully by then I should have something palatable so will go along with a few bottles and get some advice. Will let you all know in due course. Am I right in thinking that the HBO shop is only open during the week? Thanks again.

With this home brew company being based in York they may know of a club.
Hope you find one locally!
