Hi, I have done a couple of Woodfords kits now and tried a few bottles without priming sugar and prefer these. Is there any requirement to add priming sugar to any bottles or just go by preference?
The manufacturers say to use priming sugar and this gives the carbonation, if you prefer the brew with no carbonation then you could add no sugar, but we recommend to always add at least a little sugar to create some CO2 in the bottles and pressurise them, this will also help to protect your brew. A little priming sugar will pressurise the bottles and only give minimal carbonation
