Bottling

Hi, this might be a stupid question but when bottling how much brew do I put in each bottle, I have the 500ml PET bottles, I will also be using the sugar drops, 2 per bottle. Thanks

As a guide leave a space at the top of the bottle around and inch or so, this is made easier if using a little bottler - fill the bottle to the top and then when you remove the bottling stock it will then leave a space of the right amount. In 500ml bottles if using Maxale priming drops then 2 will give a good level of carbonation for most brews

Hi, I'm using coopers drops so I take it it's the same 2 per bottle, I will have to get a little bottler on my next order to your shop. Thanks

You can use up to 2 drops per 500ml bottle with Coopers Drops, that will make it quite carbonated so is best for lager and ciders. often for beers people use 1 drop as a guide. We highly recommend the little bottlers, they make bottling so quick and easy and include them in many of our starter kits, less mess too
