I have read somewhere that a keg can be pressurised using nitrogen gas bulbs instead of co2 to improve the head, is that correct? Do you have any experience of using them ?

Hi ralw, you can get both CO2 and N2O bulbs and use them for pressurising beer barrels, sometimes people use the N2O for stouts and similar brews as the bubbles are smaller, both work in the same way. Unfortunately we noticed quite a few underage people trying to buy just N2O bulbs and no brewing equipment/ingredients and know this can be a problem as they should not be sold to minors, we believe they were intending to misuse them, therefore we have decided to no longer stock them as a precaution. With many sales being online it is hard to know who is buying them, it's unfortunate but you should be able to find them on sale if you wanted to try them instead of CO2
