My first brew - Coopers Irish Stout.

Brewed this in November. As this was my first attempt,i brewed it by the instructional dvd supplied with the coopers kit.Adding light spray malt and 300gms dextrose.Very easy to make, abv of 3.2.
Fermented, bottled and waited. After 3 weeks I had a sample,WOW!.Good body, all of the flavours described on the tin.4 weeks later I still have ten bottles left out of the 43.They are beautiful, well matured, great flavours.
I have since made the same brew again, but this time added extra dark spray malt and 700gms of brewing sugar for an abv of 4.7.
As a dark beer lover I enjoy that maltier taste. Can't wait until sampling day!.

Fantastic, thanks for the update, it sounds like a real winner and by adjusting it to your liking with spraymalt you can get the flavours as you prefer them and increase the strength. It's great how they can keep improving with age too, by the last bottle you always wish there was more!
