Hi , I started a Festival Summer Ale on the 15/11 , barrelling and priming on the 27/11. The guide says allow 14 days at a temp of 20-25 degrees for secondary fermentation. Is this a bit long, others I have done say three to four days ?
The time is usually just to help the priming sugar dissolve and get secondary fermentation going and allow full carbonation, if you move it somewhere cooler it may take longer to carbonate, each brew instructions vary but for best results we suggest allowing it as long as the manufacturers suggest, it may be ready sooner though
