Leaking Pressure Barrel - advice please

I've just used my pressure barrel after a couple of years using bottles only. As soon as I pressurised it, the barrel started to leak from the seal around the tap so I depressurised it. I have ordered a new pressure barrel which will be here tomorrow.

2 questions are:
1) Should I wait for the new barrel to turn up tomorrow or transfer into bottles today?
2) Do I need to pre prime if I either bottle or transfer to new barrel? Brew was primed 3 days ago when put into the barrel.

With hindsight, I know I should have serviced the barrel before using, will do that once the brew has been transferred.

We're sorry to hear of the problem with the barrel, if it is old then it may need servicing and the washers changing etc, as they can perish over time and do need replacing. If the leak is bad then it would be advisable to move over asap and save the brew, but if it is quite slow then it may be best to wait for the new barrel, then sanitise it and syphon the brew straight over. To help with the carbonation it may be worth just adding a little more priming sugar, say around 50g. If of any interest the washer packs are here for overhauling standard barrels and King Kegs;

thanks v much, have decanted into new brew buddy barrel I bought from you guys. Simple fix on leaky barrel, now brewing another load to put into old barrel.
