How much Vanilla extract in the brew

I have been experimenting with adding vanilla to some beers and I am wondering if anyone knows how much you would add to a 5 gallon batch on a wheat beer I have used the beans but find they don't seem to really get through into the beer, I read that extract is better just not sure how much to get into the brew to get a balanced flavour...... Any Help would be useful .......

Unfortunately we don't know as we have not experimented with Vanilla, hopefully others may have done though and please post on the forum the results for others and how your brew turns out

yep my starting level will be 2 fluid ounces will keep posting when I kick off

I added two teaspoons in the FV and when I got round to bottling I added two further teaspoons to the secondary fv with 6 oz of sugars I had dissolved in water, had a taster bottle after ten days and this is looking like a real success, tasted really nice and balanced...... I used the Simply Pale ale kit that's on sale right now as my base malt what a great deal that is.....

Fantastic news on the great result, if it is tasting good so early on it should only improve too, experimenting like this is a great thing to do, and as you say using reduced kits as a base is a good way of doing it too
