Leaking top tap - what to do?

thompsthomps Member Posts: 1
Hello all! Just in the process of making my first brew and last night siphoned into my king keg. Had a peek this evening and noticed a very small leak around the O ring of the tap. I didn't put any vasoline around the outer O ring as the vague instructions didn't mention much about installing the tap to the keg. Will it self seal after a day or two or is it best to remove now and fit again? And if I do remove what is the preferred method to seal the tap?

If you haven't tried it already then the first thing to do is to check the washer is in place and then nip the tap up. It is best done sooner rather than later and will more than likely stop any leak. The problem will get worse if not tightened as more pressure builds inside the barrel. When you check the tap just give it a tighten and nip up, let us know how you get on
