damaged lid

hi there,,i am  about to start a cider kit away but I have a one centimetre square hole in my bucket lid were I originally used a bung to feed my wire through for heater cables.. what is the best option for it to be repaired  thanks all ideas appreciated

Would actually be fine with the hole tbh but I would either use a rubber bung or some duck tape
