Hi, very new to the forum and about to start the first brew!
I am planning on using a pressure barrell for the first batch rather than bottling, does the barrel in the starter kit allow you to inject Co2? Presumably i will need some kind of injector kit?
Thanks

Some kits come with the valve, such as the Woodfordes kit, others don't and have a vent cap. It varies on whether you need to add CO2 or not, on the brew itself, the temperature and how quickly you drink the contents, so it is hard to say if you will need to add CO2. If you do then a brass valve is available, with a bulb holder and a couple of bulbs to get you started, it is best to fit this before filling the barrel if you decide to use one though;

Let us know how the brew turns out, for best results leave it in the barrel for a few weeks for the full flavours to develop
