Just about to start this and was wondering if I could ferment it between the 16-18 degree range. Is this kit a ale yeast or a lager yeast?

At 16 to 18 degrees it is perhaps a little cool, so fermentation times will be increased but it should still ferment. If you can get it around 20 degrees it would speed things up a bit if you wanted.
