Has fermenting stopped

i am doing a real ale and am on day 8 with the fermenting process which seems to have stopped no bubbles that I can see I have taken two hydrometer tests and the results are 1.010 this has been constant for the last two days, the kit instructions say do not bottle until it reaches 1.006 - 1.000. Shall I give it a few more days, what do you think.

It sounds like it may still go a little lower yet, try making sure the temperature is as the ale manufacturers recommnd (cooler temperatures increase fermentation times) and give it a gentle stir if the reading wont go any lower, this may just do the trick and get the yeast to finish any last fermentation that is needed, then give it a couple of days and check the reading again, which will also allow any sediment to settle to the bottom of the vessel
