Hi, My air lock came with a red lid on it, the instructions dont say weather to leave it on or remove it when the wine is fermenting can someone tell me please? First times, hense a fairly basic question!!! :-)
The red cap lid is just a dust cap, you can use it with or without, but it is designed so it can be left on, as it is not a tight fit so any gases can still escape out of the airlock, let us know how your brew goes....
