Hi, I am a first time brewer and have 2 questions..
Firstly, i have the beer buddy larger which has been fermenting 6 days. There is some froth on top, however the hydro reading is 1.015 so not low enough. Temp reading is 18. I have wrapped it up in a blanket! And plan on leaving for another 2 days...is this right?
Secondly, I have got plastic bottles ready to bottle up, do I need to steralise them first? If so, I assume its the same way as steralising the tub before use? And the lids too??
So many questions, I dont want to mess up!!!
Thanks in advance. :-)

the most important thing is to steralise every thing that comes into contact with your beer to stop contamination.so yes steralise all the bottles and lids and make sure you rinse them well with cold water and allow to dry.i am fairly new to homebrew as well only been doing it since last xmas and i still need to ask questions
Hi, thank you robysocks. I have been checking the lid, and there has been pressure rising, cause the lid domes when I have inverted it, also the reading is now gone to 1.010 so hopefully, I can bottle up at the weekend. Thanks for your help.
