It varies what fermentation time and how vigorously it will ferment from brew to brew, and a large factor is temperature. After a day or two you may see froth in the brew, and small bubbles rising to the surface, but the very best way to monitor the progress of your brew is by taking readings with a (sterilised) hydrometer. Not all brews bubble, and if your hydrometer shows slow progress you could try keeping your brew warmer, perhaps early to mid 20 degrees. It is also a good idea to make sure the yeast comes into contact with the liquid and not just the froth on top so it gets working straight away

That's what we like to hear! Depending how you like your lager, we made the Better Brew Export Lager (the one in the pouch) and made it with a kg of enhancer rather than sugar, then primed each 500ml bottle with a heaped teaspoon of sugar, and it was really great lager, a good flavour, not too strong, very clear and nicely carbonated. Highly recomended  (although best left to condition in the bottles for at least 4 weeks, longer if possible)
