Most beer, lager and cider kits have quite long best before dates on them, we can check any specifically if needed, but often at least a year or longer, and we regularly get new stock to ensure we have the freshest products with long dates. As with all foodstuffs it is best to follow the manufacturers recommendations and we can't advise you not to, but kits that are well out of date have been made without any problems. The contents of the tins are often OK to store for a long time as there is little that can go wrong and they are fully sealed, it is usually the yeasts that would perhaps cause a problem, if planning to store the kits for a while and they went past their best before dates it would be advisable to discard the yeasts and use new ones, perhaps upgrade them to better ones at the same time.
