Sterilisation

Hi all.

I'm new to this home brew game. When we had our kids, we used Milton fluid to sterilise the babies bottles, but moved quickly to a steam steriliser (no chemicals, no smell etc.). Is steam sterilisation is an option for cleaning beer making kit?

Cheers

Sterilising is one thing people try to make as easy as possible for themselves, and a steam steriliser could no doubt be used to clean a number of things. Due to the temperature it works at though, it would have to be done with caution so as not to damage any items, some plastics may not be able to withstand the process, PET plastic bottles should not be cleaned with high heat for example, but various other items could be cleaned if you preferred. Perhaps others have tried and have experience on using them
