There is no need for concern (apart from a bit of a mess!). This is actually a good sign and indicates that that the yeast is strong and fermenting vigorously.
If overfilling is the cause, drain off some of the wort.
Clean and refill the airlock with water and allow the yeast to continue fermenting the brew. Frothing over can be avoided by using a larger fermenter.
Possible that your over-cooking your brew - ie high OG for high alcohol content. I've had this problem before several times when trying to produce high ABV IPA (6.5%+). I find one of two things cures it - extra airlock or knock the brew down to 20l instead of 23l
Hi. as a total first timer. froth has been bubbling out off my Airlock also, but it looks like it has pushed allmost all the water out off it aswell, do I put a littje water back in the airlock or leave it.
An initial vigorous fermentation can occur with some brews, depending on type, temperature, etc, but to re-seal the airlock once it has calmed down, just add some more water to the airlock and it will continue on as normal.
