I used 80 grams of sugar in my barrel for secondary fermentation but doesn’t look enough can I just pour some sugar in the top of the barrel.

Hey boscar, 80gof sugar is quite standard amount for priming a barrel, especially for beers as it will create carbonation to pressurise the barrel but wont make the beer too fizzy. People do sometimes use more for lagers and ciders, if you want it more carbonated then you can add more sugar, up to around 150g into 40 pints as a guide. It will make it more fizzy, but you can alter the amount of priming sugar to suit your personal preference
