Hi there got the headcracker kit this morning thankyou, I was reading the instructions on the side and it doesn’t mention adding any sugar at the beginning only half a spoon per pint when bottling can you enlighten me as I have never done this kit before and all the ones I have done have required sugar from the start.

There are two kinds of beer kits available, ones which require 1kg of sugar to be added and ‘full malt kits’ which are 3kg and contain enough sugars in the wort not to require any additional sugar. The Woodfordes kits are the higher quality full malt style so the only extra sugar required is for priming to start secondary fermentation when transferring to keg or bottles.
