Hi Bram67, if it is in the fermenting vessel then you can often get froth and foam on the surface - it really varies from brew to brew and on the temperature etc. It is common to have froth and foam whilst it ferments and also it can stay on the surface after completion whilst you transfer to bottles/barrel.
The brew will usually still be cloudy at this stage too, once over in bottles/barrel it can be primed with a little sugar and left to clear and carbonate
