hi grandad again, could anyone help, have brewed a batch of youngs scottish heavy for the 2nd time first brew was great but having a problem with this. everything was great until i bottled it. It doesnt seem to be clearing can anyone help?
hi grandad. Normally, the brew will clear once the yeast has performed the secondary fermentation (adding fizz to the beer) and has been allowed to stand undisturbed. Clearing usually takes around two weeks, but can vary significantly, how long have you had it bottled? it might just need a bit more time to clear.
Hi, Grandad. 3 weeks is still pretty early and probably just needs a bit more time like Marko says. Using brewing sugar can help speed up the clearing process.
