Hey I'm currently making a summer fruits cider kit. And I must say it smells amazing. I have a question on carbination. What is the way to do so. Do I add half teaspoon to each bottle of just tip aload in the fermenter. If so how much Do I put in fermenter. Because it seem I lot easya doing it that way lol?

Adding sugar to your fermenter before bottling and priming the whole lot in one go can be easier and some people do this, however if you mix the sugar in to your brew in the first fermenting vessel then you will mix all the sediment back in, so ideally you would transfer your brew over into a second cleaned vessel, then add the priming sugar, stir in and leave to dissolve, then fill each bottle. If batch priming the whole lot then as a guide around 80 to 120g depending on how fizzy you want the brew.

The easy way to prime each bottle is with drops such as Maxale, they are very popular and make no mess:

If you add sugar to each bottle then often cider is liked with a bit of fizz, so a level to a heaped teaspoon per 500ml bottle may do the trick, use less sugar if you like it less carbonated

I want it to come out like it is with bought flavoured cider. nice and fizzy lol so what would you recommend on how much sugar to put in because I don't want excluding domes going off haha

If you're using 500ml PET plastic bottles then up to a heaped teaspoon maximum per bottle, if you are going to batch prime it in a second vessel then add around 125g of sugar, stir in and leave to dissolve, once mixed in it can then be bottled.

If using priming drops then we recommend 2 x Maxale drops per 500ml bottles for your cider

I'm making an elderflower champagne and possibly going to use finings before I bottle it. Can I add sugar to the bottle to give it more fizz. ????

Yea sugar will do the job. But just be carefull because to much sugar could turn into a bomb lol
