Hi I've found a book with recipes for all your favourite shop bought beers
I found a clone peroni recipe and I am a bit confused as to amount of yeast they are asking more , the recipe for 25 litres is
3.25kg crushed lager malt
125grams crystal malt
750g flaked rice
15 litres water for brewing
5ml Irish moss
60 + 30 grams Saaz hops
60 grams later yeast
15grams gelatine
5ml/litre white sugar for racking
The bit that is confusing me is the (60grams of lager yeast) this does seem a lot for 25 litres, when most packets of lager yeast at net weight of 5 grams will ferment 23 litres,
Please can someone give me some help as too if this is correct for this recipe or a correction for this recipe
Thanks
