Cherry Brandy

I started making Cherry Brandy on the 17/7/2012. I used 4lbs of cherries, 12oz sugar and 1 pint of Brandy. Everything was going fine until 2 days ago when to my surprize it started fermenting. The recipe I used never mentioned this. Should I let it ferment or should I stop it? Could anyboby with any experience of this please help by giving me some advice.

    It would be useful to know if anyone has made this to your recipe, but what you will probably find is that the sugar you added is fermenting and will do so for a few days and then slow down and stop
