Bottling Process?

I'm new to home brewing and was just wondering abit about the whole bottling process. after the beer have finished fermenting do i have to syphon it into another container..add the sugar then syphon it into the bottles?

Hi, welcome to home brewing! Yes, when the first stage of fermenting has completed in your fermenting vessel, you need to transfer the beer into bottles or a pressure barrel. At this stage you need to add a small amount of sugar to kick start the secondary fermentation stage (the amount of sugar required will be stated on the instructions with your particular beer kit).
