That all sounds good, you will find a bit of discrepancy in hydrometer readings and this can be for various reasons, sometimes the sugars had not all fully dissolved at the start so the initial reading is slightly low, some people read the hydrometer slightly different to others, and if a little too much or little water was added this will affect the strength, etc.
The most important reading is the final reading and this must be as low as it will go and constant, 1.010 sounds about right for a Woodfordes kit, and then once you add a little priming sugar this will secondary ferment and increase the strength a little too
