Hi, although I've been brewing for quite a few years now I've never used a no rinse sanitiser, I recently had a bottle rinser bought for me so I thought lets give it a go, before I start though, I have a few questions, how long should the bottles be left to drain before using and how long can the bottles be left after sterilising before using.
I'm sure there's a simple formula, I'm just a little concerned that a few squirts into the bottle then drain will be adequate, I don't want to ruin a brew at the bottling stage.

If using a bottle rinser then the bottles can be given a good soaking and then left to drain until all the liquid that will run off has dripped off, this wont take long, and ideally the times between starting to clean them and filling the bottles should be less than an hour.
If the bottles have a lot of residue or dirt in them before cleaning then they may need a good soak first, but usually if rinsed out after emptying your brew out then not too much residue or sediment is left in them
