What do I do with the white plastic washer that comes with the regulator? Also, is I good practice to fully open the cylinder value or partially open. Thanks.

The white washer is just a spare for if needed later for where it connects to the CO2 bottle - it is supplied with one fitted so you can just keep it safe for future use

There was no washer fitted. I've used this spare.

Must the washer be fitted? I assume it does.

That's unusual as they usually fit one, if you use this one then please and it will ensure a good seal

Yes I've fitted the one that was attached to an elastic band. There was definitely none fitted.
