briess pilsen light malt extract

hi if i bought the briess pilsen light malt extract. then bought some yeast. then topped up with water to the fourty pint mark what would the finished abv be roughly. thank you

If you use just a Briess malt extract then the strength will be lower than with a beer refill kit, just as an estimate it would likely be around 2 to 2.5% in strength. Just bear in mind that many malt extracts are not hopped so the flavour may be lacking, we would suggest you might be better consider trying a kit like this so it didn't lack flavour, take a look and this gives you a better idea of what you need to use to get a god flavour from the extract:
