Temperature control and Inkbird ITC-308

I'm incredibly new to all this but my greatest problem has been keeping an eye on the temperature. I began with a heating tray linked to a basic timer. This worked reasonably well but it was slightly 'hit and miss' as I had to guess what would happen to the temperature in the FV especially overnight.
I decided to get the Inkbird ITC-308 and already I can see that I've made the right decision. It's set to control the temperature to within 2 degrees -i.e.1 degree either side of 22 degrees.
One interesting thing is that the LCD thermometer strip that I was slightly suspicious of does, in fact, record the correct temperature. Obviously there is a degree of 'interpretation' on the strip but it's not a million miles out. The Inkbird is easy to read and was much easier to set up than I feared.

Better still, after a bit of thought, I'm controlling the temperature within 1 degree, i.e 0.5 degree either side of 22.

That's great news the controller has made it so much easier to control, keeping the temperature fairly constant will help your brew ferment in good time and also taste as good as possible too

In my experience those little LCD strips are in fact pretty accurate.
