A Facebook Group for Botanical and Historical Brewers and Distillers.

Hey everyone, I recently started up a FB group geared towards all things brewing and distilling. With a twist.

It's called The Alchemist's Conglomerate. The main focus is on botanical brewing and distilling, free-fermentation and ancient techniques and methods.

So things like absinthes and gins, gruit ales and small beers etc. Also lacto-fermentation, bacterial brewing and food processing. Many of the people already involved are wilderness food enthusiasts, foragers and those interested in the history.

We now have members from all over the world. I myself am from NE Scotland. We have a pretty rich history when it comes to the old firewater, heather beers and all the rest.

If you're into historical brewing methods, strange and exotic herbal adjuncts, hopless ales and spontaneous fermentation then hopefully this will be the place for you. We're not a big group so as it is there is a good personal feeling.
