Hi. I am making a 1 gallon batch of cider. Should I use a full pack of homebrew online cider yeast? I noted the pack says suitable for up to 5g. Thanks.
Hi No doubt HBO will give some sound advice, but I think it will be fine to add the packet. As long as there is enough yeast to do the job, then no problems. On a homebrew scale, under pitching is more of an issue than over pitching. You could just add half the packet and keep the rest well sealed in the fridge, if you were going to be making another batch in the near future. Cheers Jx
Well, maybe if you started adding like kilograms of it or something! - but yeah a full packet in a half brew, no problems at all.
