Brewed this a few weeks ago and now drinking - but won't be making another! There's absolutely nothing wrong with it except it looks nothing like the glass of ale on the side of the box i.e. it's not the colour of a premium bitter but has turned out more like a porter, very dark with a distinctive aftertaste which I would describe as 'burnt' rather than 'oaked.
I'm sure some readers of this would love it but I think I'll be giving most of this brew away; it's simply not to my taste and it hasn't done 'exactly what it 'shows' on the tin' and not at all what I was expecting!
