Hello. I have just joined the forum after getting a homebrew kit from Home Brew Online for Christmas. Yesterday i made my first ever beer and it is in our airing cupboard now brewing away. Fingers crossed it turns out ok. Its bubbling away quite the thing. Its a coopers real ale kit that i made up, i have had to top the airlock up with water as it keeps bubbling over(i initially had it half full but by the morning it had gone so i just put more water in) hope this is the right thing to do.
It smells like beer anyway, cant wait to try it.

Welcome, if the airing cupboard is quite warm then it may ferment quite rapidly, just keep an eye on it especially for the first few days to ensure it doesn't bubble or froth over, if needed move somewhere a little cooler and it won't be quite as vigorous

I love the ale kit. It is amazing, off course when it turns out right. I have to buy new kits now but also the Tefcold bc85 to cover all my needs.
