Hello,
Thought id do a quick intro.
Just started my first vino batch, youngs 6 bottle Sauvignon blanc.
I think everything is going well I did forget to take a SG reading on day 1.
On day 3 I came in from work to find the airlock had some wine in it so I think it over foamed.
I therefore removed the airlock and sterilized it, moved the demijohn to the floor as temp was slightly above 24c, I also done a SG reading.
The temp when on the floor reads 23c.
Day 3 SG: 1.608
Day 4 SG: 1.504
Day 5 SG: 1.402
The colour in the demijohn has also slightly got lighter from a near black colour to a lighter brownish colour.
Hopefully its going in the right direction and ill have some tasty vino to get drunk with.
Its an enjoyable hobby.

Is there a way I can attach a picture to a post and you can tell me if im giving you the right reading?
Is this correct?
Edit: I think the correct reading is 1.034 (my bad)
So here is the finished article.
I got 4.5 bottles of wine from the kit in total.
The loss was down to a lot of testing etc which I think is ok for my first time making wine.
Its a bit darker in colour from what im used to drinking but its a nice light golden colour.
The next time I make it I think I will miss out adding Oak to see how it differs in colour and taste.
